Speech Therapists of Old Town is a private, Speech-Language Pathology and Reading-Writing Therapy practice that is located in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria. We specialize in diagnostic and therapeutic services for children of all ages, although most children come to us between the ages of 18 months-10 years. Our staff has expertise in general speech and language disorders, as well as specific disorders such as Apraxia, Dysarthria, sensory integration, orofacial myofunctional disorders, oral-motor therapy, augmentative communication, Dyslexia, and auditory processing disorders among others.

We offer individual therapy sessions as well as social groups. We pride ourselves in being a family orientated practice that works closely with parents to determine appropriate goals, and training to aid in their child’s progress.

While we are trained in many different therapies, we do not prescribe to one specific method of therapy, but prefer to individualize treatment for every child based on their individual, unique needs.
